As we celebrate the International Day of Education (January 24) this Year, we are reminded of how the Internet has become an indispensable utility for Education, Learning, and Capacity Building in the time of a rampaging Pandemic.
We also remember the millions who have been cut off at this time from access to quality Education and Learning for Capacity Development, as a result of practices and approaches to Internet Governance, Growth, and Development that are neither sustainable nor equitable... Even as we are reminded of the words of Noam Chomsky, that "the Internet could be a very positive step towards Education, organization, and participation in a meaningful society..."
